Putnam Commissioners To Consider Purchasing Land For Parking

The Putnam County Commission will consider purchasing land to help ease parking issues around the justice center when they meet Monday night.

“We have a parking problem at the justice center with so many more court cases being heard,” County Executive Randy Porter said. “We are trying to alleviate that by buying a piece of property at Spring and Broad to create a new parking lot that would supplement the existing ones at the justice center.”

Commissioners will also vote on whether to authorize Porter to purchase property for new fire stations.

Monday’s meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. inside the Putnam County Courthouse.
