Putnam County Commissioners will break in some new technology at this months meeting.
The county purchased 24 iPads for commission meetings. Mayor Randy Porter said the tablets will be used for commissioners to view presentations and agenda items during business.

Porter said iPads were less expensive and a better option for installation. Porter said the equipment is also mobile.
Porter said before each commission meeting, the appropriate documents will be uploaded to the device. The iPads will be limited to just county use and turned in at each meeting conclusion.
Porter said eventually, commissioners could explore taking home the tablets.
