The Putnam County Election Commission will meet Wednesday to address a petition to authorize a vote on a Cookeville rezoning ordinance.
According to a release from the election commission, the petition requests for a referendum to be held to overturn the vote of the Cookeville City Council regarding Ordinance #0171224 held on January 18th, 2018.
That ordinance rezoned parcels on West 9th Street and North Franklin Avenue in order to allow plans for a future student housing development to move forward.
The meeting will be held at the Election Commission Office on Wednesday, February 21st.
