Putnam Co. Committee To Discuss Vacant Commission Seat Monday

Only two people have expressed interest in filling a vacant Putnam County Commission seat.

County Executive Randy Porter said Jimmy Neal and John Allen have put their names forward to fill the 9th District seat. Neal currently serves as a public information officer with the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Allen serves as the current president of the Fair Board.

The person selected will be replacing Daryl Blair who resigned earlier this year to focus on becoming Cookeville’s new fire chief.

The County’s nominating Committee will discuss the vacancy when they meet next Monday.
