Putnam County building permits reached nearly $9 million in April, the second highest number in the last 21 months.
A total of 42 permits were issued in the county, excluding the four municipalities, for a total of $8.9 million. Of that number, 25 were for new single-family residential homes in the county.
The numbers are about $2 million over the 2023 figures. It also marks an increase over the 25 building permits issued in March.
