Puppy Mill Shut Down In Macon Co.

Animal Rescue Crops volunteers have recovered 13 dogs from a puppy mill in Macon County after the owners surrendered the animals Tuesday.

Officials said all of the dogs showed signs of eye infections, skin infections, and dental disease. They will receive proper medical treatment in Lebanon and then be put up for adoption.

Officials said the elderly property owner had been breeding dogs for nearly 40-years and has agreed to shut down the operation.
