Pickett County’s Courtney Pritchett, Upperman’s Akira Levy and Van Buren County’s Caden Mills won the Miss and Mr. Basketball Awards Tuesday night.
During ceremonies at Murfreesboro’s Murphy Center, Pritchett took home the 1A Miss Basketball honor. Levy won the 2A Miss Basketball Award. Mills received the 1A Mr. Basketball Award.
The annual awards recognize the best basketball players in the five classifications. Finalists are selected by coaches and media statewide.
“To be selected as a finalist for this award is a distinction each person can be proud of for the rest of their life,” TSSAA Executive Director Bernard Childress said.
