A DeKalb County judge has sentenced a man to prison for a burglary and theft that occurred at DeKalb West School over a year ago.
31-year-old Brian Howell entered a plea this week to burglary and received a 4-year sentence. The term is to run concurrent with sentences against him in Wilson County in which he is to serve eight years in prison.
DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray said Howell broke into DeKalb West School in September of 2016 and stole money from a vending machine. Howell is also accused of breaking into elementary schools in Smith and Wilson counties.
