Strong winds causing power outages over the higher elevations of the Upper Cumberland Friday morning.
As of 10:45am, Volunteer Energy reported 1,454 of its White County customers, all but five, without power. Some 3,300 customers in Cumberland County are without power, centered on the Putnam/White County lines. Some 800 VEC customers in Putnam County are without power.
UCEMC also reporting outages in the eastern section of Putnam County, off Highway 70. Outages also being reported near the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport. In Overton County, UCEMC shows outages off Monterey Highway.
Residents are reminded not to call 911 with a power outage.
Multiple trees reported down across White County, and part of a roof blown off a facility, according to Emergency Management.
Livingston reported a wind gust of 46mph, the highest reported in the Nashville region as of 10am Friday morning. The Baxter wind gauge reported a gust of 49mph around 10:50am.
The back end of the rain is approaching the Tennessee River as of 10:45am. The heaviest rain is centered around Gainesboro, Celina and Baxter.
