Pot Seizure on Hinch Road in Crab Orchard

Responding to a tip, Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies seized several marijuana plants from a Crab Orchard residence Monday. According to the incident report, a DHS employee discovered the plants growing near the back door while conducting a check of the Hinch Road home. Responding deputies pulled out the plants.

The resident admitted the plants were his and showed the deputy additional plants on the property, which he cut down. Deputies removed all six plants from the property and entered them into evidence at the sheriff’s office.

Charges are pending in this incident.
