Putnam County Executive Randy Porter will present a five-year plan to county commissioners in the coming weeks.
Porter, who had worked on the plan since 2015, said it will address the needs and projects of some 20 departments in the county.
“One thing I promised to you is we’d try not to come to you in emergency situations,” Porter said. “We’ve tried to let you know about the needs of the departments ahead of time.”
Porter will present some of the plans to budget committee members during a June 11 meeting.
County Commission Chairman Mike Atwood encouraged commissioners to study Porter’s plan before attending the meeting.
“It will have some bearing on this year’s budget,” Atwood said. “It’s a very important document.”
The budget meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the Putnam County Courthouse.
