In the latest figures released, two Upper Cumberland counties reported double-digit state sales tax gains.
However, overall collections across the region are down by a tenth of a percent compared to last month. Pickett County reported a 22.7-percent gain while Jackson County saw a 13.2-percent increase.
Other counties reporting increases include Fentress and Overton County. Clay County reported an 11.4-percent decrease.
Overall the state saw a 4-percent improvement in sales taxes.
