Petitions For Putnam Primary Election Can Be Picked Up Friday

The 2018 election process officially gets underway in Putnam County tomorrow.

“Tomorrow folks can start picking up their petitions to run for office,” Putnam County Election Administrator Debbie Steidl said. “It will run from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and of course, they can pick them up for some time.”

The qualifying deadline for the 2018 primary election will be February 15th.

Offices up for election include county executive, all 24 county commission seats, Trustee, Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, County Clerk, Register of Deeds and Road Supervisor.

The primary will be held May 1st and early voting will run from April 11th -April 26th.
