Peavine Road Reopens After Sinkhole Repair

Cumberland County’s Peavine Road has been reopened after a sinkhole opened in a construction zone.

TDOT’s project to widen Peavine Road has been going on for several months.

TDOT spokesman Jennifer Flynn said a sinkhole opened in the construction zone Thursday afternoon. That sinkhole temporarily closed Peavine Road.

Flynn said crews began repairing the sinkhole and the road was reopened at 1 a.m. Friday.
