The Putnam County Schools Naming Committee will have plenty of suggestions to consider when titling the systems new school.
Surveys asking for public feedback went out last week to name the new Southwest K-8 school. Director of Schools Corby King said the community has been actively participating.
“We’ve sent the surveys out. We’ve got lots of responses back so far,” King said. “It has been well received, so we also look forward to the public comments on the evening on the 27th.”
The pubic meeting on January 27th will give citizens a final chance to voice their opinions. It begins at 5:30 p.m. at Avery Trace Middle School. The survey closes Friday and can be found on the Putnam County School System’s website www.pcsstn.com as well as on PCSS Facebook and Twitter pages.
