The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office will host it’s annual Safe Streets Safe Sweets event on Halloween.
Sheriff Eddie Farris said the event promotes safety for children of all ages as they celebrate Halloween.
“It’s one place the kids can come to and safely trick-or-treat,” Farris said. “We will have our x-ray machine going to where we can scan their candy and make sure it’s safe for them to take home and eat.”
A Deputy from the Sheriff’s K-9 Division will be on-hand with a K-9 Deputy to greet families and there will be trick-or-treat candy available as well.
Tuesday’s event will take place at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office beginning at 5:00 p.m.
