Oxycodone, Rifle Stolen from Cumberland County Home

Cumberland County deputies are investigating a burglary that took place at a home on Smith Mountain Road Thursday morning.

The homeowners, who were not home at the time of the burglary, reported someone had removed a screen from an unlocked window to enter the house.

The report states the suspect stole a .22-caliber rifle and a prescription bottle containing approximately 80 oxycodone pills at 7.5 mg each.

The residents report they may know who stole the items from their house. An investigation is currently on-going.
