Overton Schools Providing Access To New Math Tool For Students

Overton County schools are introducing teachers, parents, and students to a new online learning tool, Waggle Math.

School System Math Instructions Coach DeAnna Savage said the program will provide students with new learning opportunities. Savage said that Waggle Math provides personalized assessments for students to track their progress. Savage said the program also works to ease the learning experience around math to improve student learning.

“It offers the gamification in education,” Savage said. “And so that gamification is students are learning, students are gaining understanding in skills and concepts, while their also getting the opportunity to play in those math skills and concepts.”

Savage said that Waggle Math is an extension component that is included in the school’s HMH Adoption program. Savage said that students will be able to access the program through the digital devices that are provided throughout the school district.
