Overton Health And Rehab Move Back To Limited Visitations Due To COVID

Overton County Health and Rehab has stopped open visitations due to residents testing COVID positive.

Public Relations Director Scott Stevens said the center’s COVID unit has reopened with three residents positive experiencing mild symptoms.

“That changes our visitation slightly,” Stevens said. “We have it where the doors are wide open for visits, but now we have to limit that like the hospital one visitor per day per resident.”

Stevens said the center has also resumed testing staff members twice weekly due to community COVID numbers.

“I can tell you, even with myself and personal experience with COVID with this round, we haven’t had anybody with severe side effects,” Stevens said.
