The Overton County Fair Association will host an interview workshop Saturday in preparation for the Fairest of the Fair.
Pageant Director Addy Stover said the event will focus on attire, body language and responses for a successful interview.
“This interview event is set up, because I want my contestants to feel completely comfortable and feel beautiful when they walk into their interview,” Stover said. “An interview can be very intimidating.”
Stover said the day of the pageant, participants will have an one-on-one interview with the judges panel. Stover said judges will seek an individual to represent the county at the state Fairest of the Fair competition.
So far participation in Overton County’s Fairest of the Fair is down after one registration event. Stover said while numbers are down, she believes more will sign up as the fair approaches especially after this weekend’s interview workshop.
The free event begins at 10:00 a.m. at the Overton County Fairgrounds. You must attend a county school and be at least 16-years-old.
