Overton EMS Set To Replace Older Ambulances

Overton EMS Director Jim Morgan said two new ambulances are on the way and should be operating no later than September.

“We will have to have an inspection performed by the state to make sure all the equipment is on there,” Morgan said. “We will receive a permit by the state of Tennessee then we will have to put all the equipment on it.”

Each ambulance cost around $150,000. Morgan said the two new ambulances are replacing two older models in the fleet.

Morgan said once the ambulances arrive, preparing the vehicle for service takes five to six days.
