The Overton County Sheriff’s Department recently confiscated more than 300 marijuana plants and other assorted drugs.
The department was working with the Governor’s Task Force on Marijuana Eradication more than a week ago. A helicopter pilot reported several potted marijuana plants in a wooded area near a residence on Celina Highway.
Deputies received permission to search and found about 6 pounds of mushrooms, about 3.5 pounds of processed marijuana, some 300 marijuana plants, nearly an ounce of LSD, more than a pound of peyote, as well as liquid morphine, ketamine and oxycontin.
