Overton County Elects Sheriff, County Commissioners

In one of the quieter elections in the Upper Cumberland, Overton County voters made their picks for County Commissioners and Sheriff.

In District 2, James Darwin Clark, Jeff Long, and Shane Walker came out on top for the three available seats.

For District 3, Randall Boswell, Harley McCowan, and Jesse Bowman emerged victorious.

District 4 saw Billie G. Phipps, Geraldine Walker, and Philip Talley come out on top.

In District 5, Donna Savage, Gregg Nivens, and Lee Richards defeated Roger S. Carr for the district’s three positions.

In the race for County Sheriff, John Garrett ran away from JD Masters, receiving over 64 percent of all votes.
