A Crossville man died Friday after his truck crashed into a tree on Highway 298.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol on Monday identified the deceased as 43-year-old Scottie D. Ingram.
A crash report said Ingram was driving northbound when his 1995 Chevrolet 3500 truck crossed the center line. The vehicle left the east side of the roadway before impacting a tree and coming to final rest at that point.
Ingram did not utilize a seat belt. The report notes that use of safety restraints would have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
