9,902. That is Tennessee Tech’s student enrollment that President Phil Oldham reported in a Putnam County Joint Development Board meeting Tuesday night.
Oldham said that is up some compared to last year.
“They’re a smart bunch,” Oldham said. “A 3.66 high school gpa and a 24 average ACT. We started with about 130 in hotels, because we were maxed out on campus. I think we got that down to only half in hotels right now.”
Oldham said the third largest freshmen class in tech’s history played a large role. Over 2,050 new students this fall semester.
