A third NHC facility in the Upper Cumberland is battling multiple COVID cases as the Smithville facility reports 13 cases.
Five patients are currently battling COVID inside the long-term care facility. Seven employees are also positive. One additional employee has already recovered. The Tennessee Department of Health reports 100 residents call the facility on Fisher Avenue home.
The NHC Cookeville facility has four active cases. 34 total cases have been reported in the Cookeville facility with 17 among employees. Some 14 have recovered. Five patients died during the outbreak.
NHC McMinnville reports no active cases currently. Since the outbreak began, 49 total cases were reported in the facility with four deaths.
The Sparta NHC facility reported four employee cases since the pandemic began.
A total of 226 long-term care facilities statewide have reported multiple COVID-19 cases. Four Cumberland County facilities have reported multiple employee cases. That includes ten at Wyndridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. Smithville’s Webb House Retirement Center is treating five employee positive COVID cases with one employee positive. Signature Healthcare of Fentress County reports four employee cases. Life Care Center of Sparta reports two employee cases.
