A New York man transported to Putnam County over the weekend after a grand jury charged him with rape of a child.
27-year-old Kerry Jarrod Washington being held in the Putnam County Jail under $150,000 bond. The incident happened in April, 2016 when police investigated a sexual assault complaint against a juvenile victim.
Cookeville Police investigated the incident with the help of the FBI, the Department of Childrens Services and the New York City Police Department.
