Construction for a new Taco Bell location in Jamestown is set to begin in May.
Jamestown building inspector Earl Sweat said the taco bell would be built at the old Hardee’s location on North Main Street.
“They are going to start on the demolition work on the old Hardee’s building possibly,” Sweat said. “They have moved equipment in already.”
Sweat said demolition would take a few days. Construction would begin soon after.
“The Hardee’s building has been there for over thirty years and has been vacant for a couple years now,” Sweat said.
Sweat said the city is excited to see a restaurant built north of town with the hope other businesses will follow. The Taco Bell should be complete in the middle of the summer.
