The White County Recreational Complex has a new area for children to play at during ball games.
County officials held a ribbon cutting for a brand new playground at the complex Tuesday evening.
White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson.
“We’ve got the ball fields out here, but there is nothing to do for the young kids to do while the other kids are playing ball,” Robinson said. “We just thought it was a perfect match and this something for the younger kids to do while their older siblings are playing ball.”
The playground funded by a $10,000 Rural Access to Health and Healthy Active Built Environment Grant the county received in 2017.
White County Government supplied parks and recreation monies and manpower towards building the base of the playground and installing the equipment.
