Amy New has been selected as the new President/CEO of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce.
“I am honored to take on this role and thrilled to bring my family back to the place I’ve always been proud to call home,” New said. “Opportunity in Putnam County and the region is boundless, and I’m excited to lead an exceptional team that will work tirelessly to help our membership and the community to realize its fullest potential in this dynamic and ever-changing market.”
New is a Monterey native and a Tennessee Tech graduate. She worked extensively in the Upper Cumberland. She most recently served as Director of Programs in the Government and Community Affairs Office at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
She becomes just the third-ever president of the chamber, replacing George Halford who is retiring.
