The calendar says Wednesday marks the first full day of spring, but Upper Cumberland residents awoke to snow.

In southern areas, the wet snow coated trees painted a picture of winter white. With temperatures just around freezing, snow on roads and even some grassy surfaces melted quickly.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10am Wednesday morning. After a cloudy afternoon, skies expected to clear making way for a hard freeze overnight.
