A man from Rickman suffered injuries when his motorcycle rear-ended a vehicle on Buck Mountain Road in Putnam County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the crash happened Wednesday just before 4 p.m.
Officials said a medical helicopter airlifted 49-year-old Sean Patrick Donaghy to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment.
A crash report said Donaghy was traveling eastbound when he drove into the back of a 2016 Ford Edge, driven by 70-year-old Larry Gene Harmelink of Cookeville. The crash occurred when Harmelink stopped to make a left turn onto Pinnacle View.
