Motorcyclist Airlifted After Wednesday Crash

A 64-year-old Florida man had to be airlifted to U.T. Medical Center after crashing his motorcycle Wednesday.

The crash happened at 11:25 a.m. on Highway 68 in Cumberland County.

A Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report said William M. Evans of Port Charlotte, FL was traveling southbound when the crash occurred. The report said his 2009 Harley Davidson left the roadway when he failed to negotiate a curve near the area of Cox Valley Road.

Evans was airlifted to U.T. Medical Center for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
