More than 1,100 UCEMC customers are without power in Overton County as of Wednesday evening after strong thunderstorms impacted the area.
UCEMC reports the biggest concentration of outages in the city of Livingston, around the Mountain Road area. Other concentrations of outages are in the Hilham and Fairview communities as well as the Cat Hill area on the eastern side of the county.
Volunteer Energy reports at least 2,700 customers without power in Fentress County as of 8:15pm. There are also outages in Pickett County.
Strong winds blew through just before 6:00 Wednesday with winds over 60mph recorded on radar aloft. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the line of storms. The worst weather appeared to be over the northern half of the region.
