A new website for Monterey went live Friday afternoon.
Alderman Nathan Walker said the mobile-friendly site will be a great resource for visitors and residents.
“We are super excited that the website is finally up and live,” Walker said. “I think it’s going to be a great resource for the entire community, especially the online bill payment. A lot of our residents have been asking for that for a really long time.”
The website allows residents to make online payments for utilities, property taxes, and traffic citations. It also includes links to each city department and a page highlighting community events and activities.
The town’s board of aldermen voted last year to pay nearly $4,000 for Columbia-based Local Government Corporation to develop the website.
