An investigation is underway after a fire destroyed a home in Monterey early Tuesday morning.
Monterey Fire Chief Kevin Peters said the fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. at a home on South Holly Street. Peters said crews responded to the scene and found the home totally engulfed in flames.
A cause of the blaze has not been determined at this time.
Peters said the home belonged to 43-year-old Christopher Lee Hedrick, who was arrested for indecent exposure Sunday. Hedrick was in the Putnam County Jail at the time of the fire.
