Minnesota Student Charged With Sparta Murder Of Father

A Minnesota college student faces first degree murder charges in the death of his father at the man’s Sparta home last week.

Joshua Nathaniel Jordi, age 21, faces extradition to Tennessee following his arrest Monday in Mankato, MN. Jordi’s bond set at $1.5 million.

The White County Sheriff’s Department responded to Timothy Jordi’s home in Sparta Thursday after Jordi failed to show up for work. Deputies found the 51-year-old man dead in his Washington Street home. An autopsy found Jordi had been murdered.

The Sheriffs Department working alongside TBI Special Agents investigated and developed information that Joshua Jordi killed his father.

Joshua Jordi is a college student at Minnesota State University.
