Milwuakee Tool clarified Thursday that it does not have plans to build a new manufacturing plant in Cookeville.
The announcement came a few days after Milwaukee Tool issued a press release about a new manufacturing plant in West Bend, Wisconsin. Part of that release mentioned further expansion across many manufacturing and distribution facilities in the U.S.
The company said it wanted to clarify the statement as several articles speculated that there would be a new power tool manufacturing plant in Cookeville.
“Milwaukee does not have plans to build a new manufacturing or assembly plant in Cookeville, TN, but is considering manufacturing a vacuum line in Cookeville at an existing sister location,” Milwaukee Tool’s director of brand marketing Kharli Tyler said. “There is no further information at this time.”
Milwaukee Tool is a Wisconsin-based hand and power tool company.
