(Editors Note: This is the fourth in a series of Meet The Candidate Interviews as we prepare for the June 1 election in Celina. The office of mayor will be filled as will three seats on the Board Of Aldermen.)
Justin Rich is one of the six people running for Celina Alderman.
Rich said he is a lifelong Celina resident and has a family of four. Rich said he is a hard worker that wants to make a difference in his hometown.
“There are several things to address. If I don’t try, I don’t know if I ever could do it,” Rich said. “There are several things. The roads around here, and there is just a lot of things that need to be cleaned up, primarily. There are several things, and I am just going to give the just of it if I get in.”
Rich said he thinks Celina has gone backwards the past few years. Rich said he wants to get the city back on track and make decisions to help the community grow.
This is Rich’s response to being asked why he wants to be an Alderman.
“I am just trying to make a change around here,” Rich said. “I feel like Celina has went a couple of steps backwards the past couple of years and feel like we are passing up on a lot of stuff and just want to try and get in here to turn it around.”
Rich said this is his outlook for the future of Celina.
“I am kind of going to be a little new to this,” Rich said. “I hope it shows some growth. I hope it shows turning around. Like I said, I believe we are going backwards. We will just see what we can do and see what we can look forward to.”
Early voting lasts until May 27th. Election Day is June 1st.
