McMinnville’s Main Street Live Concert Series returns with the first concert of the year Friday.
Executive Director Jennifer Flatt Meredith said 2023 will be the 19th year of the series. She said the event is free, but money from vendors and donations goes back into the community.
“It’s really just a fun way for you to kind of see your friends, make new friends, listen to music, eat great food,” Meredith said. “Do something fun on a Friday night and then also help support a good cause for the money to go back into downtown improvement.”
Meredith said this year’s concert series will feature local acts as well as cover bands of popular acts like Led Zepplin and Fleetwood Mac. She said the event has grown in popularity over the years to where people from all over the Upper Cumberland attend.
“It’s been a really great thing for the community and something everybody looks forward to every year,” Meredith said.
meredith said the concert series will be every Friday night in June and July. She said there will be food trucks selling food and snacks at each concert.
“We have six or seven food vendors that offer a variety of things from popcorn to pizza, hamburgers, to barbeque and things like that,” Meredith said. “So we offer those, those start at 6 pm, and then our music starts at 7.”
The events will be on the west lawn of Security Federal Savings Bank, at 306 W. Main Street in McMinnville.
