The NHC long-term care facility in McMinnville is dealing with an outbreak of COVID-19.
A total of 15 patients and three staff members have tested positive according to the information posted on the facility’s website. The cluster has not yet been reported on the state of Tennessee’s daily report.
NHC McMinnville becomes the third long-term care facility to deal with a cluster of COVID cases. Algood’s Signature Health Care reported more than 50 cases during April. The White House Assisted Living facility in Macon County had five cases.
Most long-term care facilities remain closed to visitors inside the building to stop the spread of COVID-19.
NHC operates Upper Cumberland facilities in Cookeville, Smithville, Sparta and McMinnville. NHC CEO Steve Flatt volunteered his 38 facilities across the state to be among the first to test all residents.
