The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted Tuesday night to express their opposition to a proposal to allow communication companies to install wireless equipment on city-owned property and infrastructure.
The board’s vote is in response to a proposed state law that would allow companies like AT&T and Verizon to place antennas or other wireless equipment on city-owned buildings without city permission.
Last night the board passed a resolution to be sent to the State Capitol expressing opposition to the proposal.
