McMinnville Asking Resident Opinions For Capital Improvement Projects

McMinnville is asking its residents to let their opinions be heard in an online survey for capital improvement projects.

City Administrator Nolan Ming said the survey will include sidewalks, repaving, a new police station and more ideas that have been discussed already. However, he said this is a good opportunity for residents to list their own priorities for McMinnville.

“We may be missing something,” Ming said. “The board may be prioritizing something that is not a priority in general for the citizens.”

Ming said it is the tax payers money going towards the projects and this is a chance to say how they want to see that money spent. Ming said the survey can be found on McMinnville’s city website and Facebook.

The deadline to respond is May 14.

“We’ve also listed a section for people to add something that we may not have thought of,” Ming said. “So people can add whatever projects that they think would be important, in addition to those that we are aware of.”

Also listed in the survey are storm water improvements for flooding, an urban trail system and a Greenway extension. Moford Street and West Main Street improvements are also included.
