Mayberry Re-Elected as Crossville Mayor, Councilmen Selected

Crossville Mayor James Mayberry has won his re-election bid over opponent Danny Wyatt.

Mayberry says he looks forward to building on the city’s progress from the last four years.

“We’ve got a good start and my whole thing was to… bring to fruition some of the things we’ve been working on here lately,” Mayberry says. “I think the people have spoken that they like what they see going on and they’re ready to move forward.”

Two new councilmen were also elected during Tuesday’s election. Art Gernt and Rob Harrison received the most votes and will be the city’s next council members. Sadie Hoover, Jesse Kerely, Ralph Reagan, and Virgil Thompson also received votes.
