Rep. Judd Matheny will run for Rep. Diane Black’s congressional seat.
Matheny announced his bid for the District Six representative seat recently in White County.
It’s widely believed Black will run for Tennessee governor, but has not announced her candidacy yet.
The Tullahoma Republican has served as a representative in the state General Assembly for eight years. He served in the U.S. Army and Tennessee National Guard for eight years.
Matheny and his wife Christy have been married for 18 years, they have two teenage children.
