Man locked In Delivery Trailer Arrested For Stealing Cigarettes

A Knoxville man has landed behind bars in Cumberland County for allegedly attempting to steal cigarettes from a delivery truck Monday.

Police officials said officers managed to catch the suspect after the delivery man locked him inside the trailer of the delivery truck.

42-year-old Michael Shane Caffey is charged with burglary and evading arrest after he tried fleeing from officers when they unlocked the trailer.

Officials said Caffey also had warrants our for his arrest in Knoxville for a parole violation.
