Police arrested a Cookeville man early Monday morning after finding him unresponsive in the Jackson Plaza Shopping Center.
47-year-old Donovan S. Daniels transported to the Putnam County Sheriffs Department after officers feared his safety and the cold temperatures.
A motorist flagged down a Cookeville Police officer just before 4:00 Monday morning. The motorist said Donovan laid face down on the sidewalk outside the Jackson Plaza Food Lion. Police found Daniels, with a strong scene of alcohol, as they tried for several minutes to wake him. Once awake, Daniels nearly fell over.
Police charged Daniels with public intoxication.
