Putnam County authorities have arrested a man after he allegedly shot a bail bondsman with a pepper ball gun.
Bradley Keith Crouch faces a single count of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, evading arrest, and violation of bond conditions.
The incident happened Saturday when the bail bondsman bonded Crouch out of jail following his arrest for violating bond conditions the previous day.
An arrest warrant said Crouch became physical when the bail bondsman refused to drive him to the location where the violation occurred. Crouch picked up a pepper ball gun and allegedly shot the bondsman. The report said the pepper ball traveled through the victim’s finger and Crouch fled the scene.
The victim received medical treatment at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Officers arrested Crouch later that day, according to the report.
Crouch remains behind bars on $13,000 bond. He will make appear in court on December 9.
