Cookeville’s Thomas Lynn has been appointed to a vacancy on the Tennessee Tech Board of Trustees by Governor Bill Lee.
Lynn takes over the spot vacated by Purna Saggurti. Lynn received both his bachelors degree and MBA from Tennessee Tech. He has severed Tech as president of the College of Business Advisory Board. He also donated money to the renovation of classrooms in Johnson Hall as well as classroom endowment in the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology.
The chairman of the board at First National Bank, Lynn joined the bank in 1992. He became chairman in 2020.
Fred Lowery and Barry Wilmore will serve an additional term. All three will be confirmed by the legislature in 2021.
