Morgan Cancels Livingston Holiday Concert; Gatlin With Play

Lorrie Morgan has canceled her Americanaville Livingston concert for the holidays after overbooking her schedule.

Larry Gatlin of the Gatlin Brothers will replace Morgan. Americanaville’s Tena Rogers said Morgan booked 15 shows straight. She said she’s disappointed the country star will not be here for the holidays, but she understands the music business.

“Instead of you know wallowing in it, we immediately got busy trying to decide who would be a good person and have the talent people expect from our Christmas show, and we secured Larry Gatlin,” Rogers said.

Americanaville is offering full refunds to those who purchased Lorrie Morgan tickets. Customers also have the option of exchanging their tickets for Gatlin tickets. Gatlin will perform December 12.

“We’ve had a few that the date didn’t work for them that wanted to change,” Owner Mark Houser said. “Most people kept their tickets, but we have been in contact with every single person that bought a ticket, and we are in the process of refunding money to the few that wanted a refund.”

Americanaville has hosted monthly concerts all year. This is the third year they have been bringing live music to Livingston.

“It’s a team effort for the entire Livingston community,” Houser said. “We’re excited about it and they are. We have people who have bought tickets from as far away as North Carolina and Ohio. You know they come in here they spend the night, they spend some money, so its good for the commerce of the community as well.”

Larry Gatlin has written 33 Top 40 Country singles and performed many of those songs with his brothers. Gatlin will be performing his hit songs and Christmas songs. Tickets are available online through Americanaville’s website.
